Default Hi Forum newcomer here

Hi, Looking to get back into cars again after a long stay. I haven't been on a track since 96 and I was wondering if there are any tracks or even small groups in or near the Fort Valley or middle GA area. I'm in the process of re-buying my equipment and was searching around and ran into your board here so here I am
and nice Board btw. Take care (RC)

Hey there... how far are you willing to drive? Looks like there are a couple of tracks about equidistant from you.. but none really close.. though Henry County's upcoming track won't be awful far.

Know where Dublin is? I've got a track down here. Just a practice track though, we're actually redoing it right now, 12ft wide lanes. It's a really nice track. I'll post up some pics of it tomorrow.

We race in Midville, it would be about 2 hours for you, but it's an awesome track. (Pineland RC)

My range that I'm willing to drive anyway is currently around 80 miles until I get some experience back under my belt. Henry County looks to be a viable option. I didn't know Henry County was setting up an R/C park for cars. I used to be a member of Henry County R/C Club a few years ago which used to be Conley Fliers way back when. When is it scheduled for completion? BTW I'm setting up for 1/8 scale gas (Nitro) buggy :D

VRP wouldn't be to bad for you either. It's in Brooks, Ga.

I was just checking them out, very nice. I esp like the oval. The cars appear to be 1/8 scale buggies with modified bodies. If that's what they are and since I'm an old oval guy, then that's the way I'm gonna go. Btw what is everyone running? I'm torn between the Ofna Hyper9 and the Associated RC8 I want to get something that will have good parts support and thanks for the welcome (RC)

Default Oval Racing

VRP's oval main class is 1/8 scale late model cars.
They also run SCT and Monster truck classes.

The late models are mostly ofna's and Losi's but you may find converted buggies and everything else in between there too.
It is a 1st class facility and a good group of people who love to go fast and turn left..... I hope to see you out there

Note: I'm an old Conley flyers guy from way back....
some of us fly electrics day and night between rounds at VRP
That streak of light in the sky is my Night fly plane.

I thought you were familiar, I'm Dave Fountain I used to be there at Conley when it was on Mont Carmel Rd. Is Loyd still flying?

And on the type of chassis I'm going to get, I've about settled on the Ofna Ultra MBX oval... Is that one competitive when setup right? or do I need to consider another version Lata man (RC)
